Ventura Food Tours offers food walking tours that provide a unique blend of food tasting, local history, culinary education, and walking. As we walk through downtown, you’ll learn about the history of Ventura and get to meet some of the hungry entrepreneurs behind the local food scene.

Our tasting tours are intimate and informal, giving you a behind the scenes look into some of our gourmet food producers and culinary purveyors - chocolates, spices, baked goods, local wine, and gourmet treats are just the beginning.

This custom tour, offered for participants in the Gordon Research Conference, is a guided walking tour lasting approximately 3 hours. Each tour stops at four different locations, where guests will enjoy small tastings of some of Ventura County’s best food finds. This tour has been designed to fit nicely into your afternoon free time, offering small tastings, perfect for an afternoon treat and not overly filling as to spoil your dinner!

Topics along the tour route may include:

• The chocolate making process
• How to pair fine wine with the perfect, complimentary cheese
• The nuances of California olive oil
• Local history and architectural points of interest

• Price: Tour tickets cost $50 and include all tastings and tips, plus transportation to downtown. Grab a few friends to come along!
  
• When: During the Gordon Research Conference, tours will be offered Tuesdays from 1:30-3:45. Guests are asked to arrive by 1:25 to get checked in and ensure that we start on time.

• Diets: If you have any food allergies, please let us know when you purchase your tickets. There will be a wine tasting as part of this tour, please note that guests will be required to show ID. Those under 21 or those opting out of the wine tasting will be offered a tasting of a non-alcoholic beverage instead.
  
• Advance purchase required: We suggest booking a few days in advance to ensure getting the desired reservation. Reservations must be received by 4:30pm on Monday (the day before the tour). We require at least 10 guests to run our tours and group size is limited to a maximum of 15 guests. Upon registration you will receive a confirmation email with details about tour starting location, FAQ's, and other helpful info.
  
• Refunds: Any cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled tour are not eligible for a refund.
